Proudly part of Capital Park, PretoriaLet’s build a stronger community

Action, with our neighbours

Small acts.
Lasting community impact.

From shared celebrations to persistent advocacy, our work reflects the everyday needs of Capital Park.

Where we are focusing today

Working towards a better Capital Park.

01 / Community wellbeing

Supporting our people

Partnering with faith-based organisations to address spiritual and moral needs within our community.

02 / Service delivery

Caring for our suburb

Collaborating with the municipality to address service delivery issues and protect property investments in Capital Park.

03 / Municipal accountability

Speaking up consistently

Advocating for better bylaw enforcement, including building regulations and waste management, and for the maintenance of roads, water, sewage and electricity infrastructure.

What we have achieved

A history of showing up.

These projects and partnerships have helped shape our association’s contribution over the years.

Celebrating our community

We have hosted multiple Avodazz arts, music and cultural festivals, alongside Women’s Day and Christmas events for the community.

Pride in our sidewalks

Our Best Maintained Sidewalk competition encouraged residents to keep their sidewalks neat and tidy.

Support through partnerships

We have collaborated with NGOs to support and uplift neighbours in need.

Connection for seniors

We have organised programmes for seniors twice a month at the Community Centre, offering assistance as far as our budget allows.

Cleaner shared spaces

We have led clean-up operations in collaboration with the municipality and local residents.

A voice on traffic

We have engaged the municipality about ongoing traffic challenges, particularly the one-way street issue. Some challenges remain.

Resolving the cement dust issue

CAPRRA successfully addressed and resolved the cement dust issue from PPC Hercules.

2020

A community response

Care in a time of crisis

250 residents.
Meals every day.

During the hard lockdown in 2020, CAPRRA established a temporary shelter and provided daily meals to 250 residents.

This was made possible by generous donations from government entities, local charities and faith-based organisations — a powerful example of what a community can do together.
